Beauty Products Worth Buying Again and Again

I came across this article featuring Jennifer Aniston where she shared that she has been using the SAME lip liner for 15 years. Fifteen years. Wow! That’s crazy, like crazy dedicated. This was my inspiration for today’s post.

Personally, I’m such a sucker for the next big thing in beauty. I’m sure blogging about skincare and makeup has also contributed to me hopping from one product to the next.

I’m going to admit that blogging about beauty lately has been a struggle for me. Not because I don’t love writing anymore or because I don’t want to talk about beauty. It’s simply because I’m not testing as many products as I used to which has left me with less content to share. However, the positive thing is I’ve finally figured out my beauty style and a lot of my go-to beauty products that I’m not constantly on the hunt for something better.

Jennifer Aniston’s love for her lip liner got me thinking about my loyalty to certain products. Did I have anything in my makeup bag that I’ve used for several years? I thought it would be a challenge but I was able to come up with five beauty products that I’ve been using for a long time and I’m thrilled to share my favorite beauty products worth buying again and again.

Beauty Products Worth Buying Again and Again

Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen
Number of Years Used: 7
Number of Times Restocked: At least 5

I’ve used this eye primer on and off for seven years. Sure, there were other eye primer tubes I was tempted by (NARS, Urban Decay, etc.) but I ALWAYS would come back to this little tube. It’s probably one of my most expensive makeup products but what makes it a winner is how it effectively conceals the redness and discoloration on my lids. I like that I can wear it alone for the days I don’t feel like wearing any eye makeup.

Glossier Boy Brow in Brown
Number of Years Used: 4
Number of Times Restocked: At least 10

There’s a reason why this is #1 on my list of best and worst Glossier products. Filling in my brows has never really been my forte, until Glossier launched Boy Brow in 2015. For a small tube of tinted brow gel I can always rely on this to tint and groom my brows into place without having to do anything else. I only own two brow products on a regular basis and this is one of them. I use it every single day and I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve restocked in this shade because it’s just that good.

Pixi Glow Tonic
Number of Years Used: 4
Number of Times Restocked: 2

Applying toner was never part of my skincare routine until 2016 and lucky for me I found my holy grail on the first try. Most exfoliating toners can dry out your skin but not this one—the Aloe Vera ingredient replenishes moisture so you’re not left high and dry. These also come in large bottles, pre-soaked pads, travel size, etc. Now of course I’ve tried other toners since then but this is the one I would buy again and always recommend to friends and family for its effectiveness and really reasonable price point. The Pixi PR team is always spoiling me with restocks of this toner so that’s why I’ve only paid for two restocks.

BeautyBlender Sponge
Number of Years Used: 6
Number of Times Restocked: 3

The color of my sponge may change with each season, but the OG tear drop sponge has a permanent spot in my makeup bag. I try to remember what makeup application was like before this existed and honestly I don’t know how I ever lived without it. I use it for blending foundation, concealer, cream blush, and highlighter. Point blank it’s the best makeup tool in my arsenal.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner
Number of Years Used: 7+
Number of Times Restocked: 4

It’s my go-to liquid black eyeliner for all seasons and occasions. This is one of those products that I’ve consistently restocked through the years. I wouldn’t say I use this every day (lately my style has been much more understates) but I always pack it with me on trips.
