August Beauty Box 5 Review

August Beauty Box 5 Review - Politics of Pretty

Another month, another beauty box! I love opening my Beauty Box 5 during the summer months. For those of you that aren’t familiar, Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service that delivers five cosmetic samples to your door for $12 per month. If you’re overwhelmed when you shop for beauty products (or don’t have the time), a beauty box subscription is an easy and affordable solution. I’m sharing with you my August Beauty Box 5 review.

Style Essentials Nail Polish—I’ve been lazy all month when its comes to my nails. This sparkly polish was the perfect pick-me-up. Not sure I would’ve purchased this on my own since it looks like something a 13-year-old would wear, but for some reason I like it.

Purlisse Pur Protect SPF 30—This mini deluxe sample of sunscreen is totally going in my weekend bag to Deep Creek Lake in two weeks. The formula is lightweight and non-greasy so I know I’ll be using this on my face.

La Fresh Travel Lite Makeup Remover Wipes—I was pretty pleased when I saw La Fresh in my August box. I’ve been using their wipes all summer long. Their pre-moistened towelettes help remove any trace of makeup for eyes, lips and face.

Nanacoco Lip Gloss—This lip gloss is a bit on the sticky side but I love the pigment. Will keep this on my vanity for date night.

Novez Brazilian Keratin—I have yet to try out this hair treatment… probably because you have to shampoo first, apply the treatment and then wait 25 minutes before rinsing. I’m always on-the-go so I may have to pass this on to a friend to try.

Beauty Box 5 gifted me with a complimentary subscription for review purposes. All opinions in this post are my own.
