Bethesda peeps: what’s better than a runway show in your own backyard? Rubbing elbows with actress, entrepreneur and style icon, Jessica Alba of course! OK, maybe not rubbing elbows… but in close proximity! Local style setters are invited to the fifth annual star-studded event at Bethesda Row, The Front Row. Taking place May 16th-18th, the three-day style event features over 35 in-store fashion, beauty and culinary events from retailers and restaurants throughout the Row.

This year’s VIP celebrity guest, Jessica Alba, will be signing copies of her new book, The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True To You in front of Redwood Restaurant and Bar on Bethesda Lane from 5-6:30pm  before the fashion show at 7:30pm, which will be emceed by Georgetown Cupcake owners Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis. (You’ll find me at the Aveda Lipstick Bar or the Equinox Massage Station, among other fun fashionable activities before the show.) The runway looks will feature some of my favorite boutiques (think Francesca’s Collection, Lululemon, Ginger, and Sassanova) among other retailers and newcomers like Bonobos and Courage b.

The event kicks off Thursday, May 16th with an exclusive screening of the fashion insider’s film, The Tents, at Bethesda Row’s Landmark Theatre, with the film’s director, Marcus K. Jones in attendance. Going behind the scenes of New York Fashion Week, consider it an evening with fashion heavy hitters like Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Glenda Bailey and Zac Posen. Following the screening, a Q&A session will take place with the director and Refinery29 DC editor Holly Thomas. Seats are limited for this screening, so make sure you RSVP at thetents@brandlinkdc.com.

On Saturday, the event will wrap up with all day family friendly activities for Chic Child on the Row from 11am-2pm on Bethesda Lane. Grab your little ones and enjoy a bevy of activities including ArtJamz for Kids, Legos on the Lane, Pink Palm, Kidville, Equinox Fitness and more!
