As I mentioned on my Instagram, I’m all about making the most of the beauty products I own as I continue to declutter my vanity, throw out expired products and focus on buying fewer better things.
Even though winter is not my favorite season, I do love my winter makeup routine. I love dewy skin and a glowing complexion and in the winter I never have to worry about looking oily because my my skin is typically dry.
I thought I’d share with you my winter makeup favorites for achieving a dewy, glowy look.
Wander Beauty Rush Eyeshadow Palette: I purchased during one of the last Sephora sales of the year. You wouldn’t think you could create so many different looks with this six-shade palette but I was wrong. Blitz and Avenue are the perfect pops of color for my hazel eyes that can be applied with my finger. OTW and Swift pair well together for an everyday neutral eye and Charge is my favorite inner corner highlight I never knew I needed.
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation: I’ve been curious about this foundation for so long but it was out of stock online in my shade for a period of time. I wear the lightest shade it doesn’t feel like foundation, definitely a light formula. It gives me just enough coverage to cover up any redness and give my complexion a pretty dewy finish. My only complaint is packaging. It’s a twist cap with a serum like dropper but it seeps out very quickly so I feel like it’s difficult to manage it without feeling like you’re wasting product.
Glossier Pro Tip: My winged liner look is still going strong thanks to Pro Tip! I always start at the center of upper lash line and follow the line that extends just beyond my outer corner. Then I bring in another line starting at the bottom corner until it meets the top line and then I fill in. I already restocked on Pro Tip because I love this liner so much.
L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara: I haven’t been wearing this every day (trying to make the most out of my Wander Beauty Mascara) but this is my go-to for a more glam look. It’s my favorite drugstore mascara.
Glossier Boy Brow in brown: Never leave my house without a coat of this brow gel! You can see where this ranks on my list of the best and worst Glossier products.
Real Techniques Sculpting Sponge: This was included in a value pack of sponges and I’m pleasantly surprised with out it blends my contour and highlighter beautifully. I use the sponge to blend Glossier Niteshine in Pale Pearl, which gives me that dewy glow. I notice that if I wear it every day I break out so I pick and choose my days wisely.
Clinique Cheek Pop Palette (no longer available): I waited until it was marked down at Sephora for $22. It’s the perfect little trio of cool-toned blushes—perfect for my fair skin tone.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Gloss: I became obsessed with the lipstick and matching lip pencil so naturally I wanted the matching lip gloss. I love the lipstick but I don’t always want a matte finish (my lips dry very quickly) so the gloss still gives me the moisture I need for it to last all day.
Chanel Rouge Coco Flash Lipstick: I’ll be sharing my winter lip lineup on the blog sometime next week but this sheer nude lipstick in the shade #54 Boy has a nice subtle shimmer and looks good with just about any outfit I wear.
What are your winter makeup favorites you’ve been wearing lately?
