My lips have been suffering for almost a week. Nothing is worse than getting sick and dealing with dry, chapped lips and struggling to keep them moisturized 24/7. I’ve been alternating between different lip treatments, depending on the time of day, my mood and well, my lips. Here are my four winter lip balms I’ve been rotating ’round the clock:
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. As much as I love those tinted pops of color, there’s nothing wrong with going back to basics. This is currently stashed in a drawer in my cube at work.
Aquaphor Lip Repair. I’ve been using this drugstore staple religiously at night. You only need to apply once before you go to sleep and you’re set for the whole night.
Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner. I’ve had this in my side pocket of my purse for so long now, there’s purse dirt all over it. I don’t care though, I love this luxe lip conditioner. The rose scent reminds me of my Yiayia. It also boasts just the slightest rose tint to enhance any pout.
The Body Shop Shea Lip Butter. I also keep this at my bed side but I especially love this for its mildly sweet scent (and it’s only $6!!)
Do you have a favorite lip balm you use when you’re getting over a cold? I’d love to hear your recommendations!
I use rosebud salve every night when I go to bed and every morning when I wake up. I may pick up one of your recommendations, though and rotate it in.
I like Burts Bees 🙂
I’ve been dying to try the Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner! I’ve heard such great things about it. And the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments are among my favorites!
100% agree on Sugar and the Aquaphor. They are my life savers in the winter time. The Aerin looks so luxurious and lovely. May have to treat myself to that because in the winter I find myself grabbing for balm more than my luxe lipsticks. And hey, a girl’s gotta things that make her feel like a bit of a princess 🙂

100000000% all about Aquaphor in the winter. Not only great for lips but also the best for under/around eyes before bedtime. And..if you’re headed to a very dry/cold climate (West to ski, for example) use as a moisturizer in the am before you head out to ski and your face will be ah-mazing at the end of the day!
