A while back I read an article on Refinery29 on why it’s so damn expensive to be a woman. Case in point: The average woman spends approximately $15,000 on beauty products during her lifetime. Of that, $3,770 goes to mascara alone. That makes sense to me considering I wear makeup every day of the week. But with the cost of makeup also comes plenty of makeup remover. And if I’m spending $3,770 on mascara in my lifetime, you know I’m using a mighty good remover to keep my lashes in tact.
I never really use liquid makeup remover formulas because pre-moistened cloths typically work just fine (and I’ll be the first to admit, I’m pretty lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup). But I have to say, Trish McEvoy’s one-step long-wear makeup remover water is the lightest of all products I’ve ever tried, but doesn’t fall short of powerful. It gently wipes away all traces of makeup, and it’s safe enough to use on your eyes, lips and face. Perhaps my favorite part is it doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily or soapy, unlike most liquid makeup removers. While my makeup remover cloths may be my late night go-to, it’s comforting to know I’ve got this cleansing water in my beauty cabinet.
