I’ll admit, I have always been drawn to pretty packaging, so naturally Tory Burch’s first fragrance caught my attention. I love the over-sized square shape with the orange and gold metal design—so Tory! To be honest, I was expecting something overwhelming and intense but my first whiff was nothing of the sort. I smelled a burst of grapefruit and peony (the perfume also has notes of neroli, cassis, bergamot, tuberose, jasmine sambac, vetiver, and sandalwood), making it a refreshing floral scent that’s equal parts sweet and playful but polished. I live by the philosophy, “you’re never fully dressed without your perfume,” so lately Tory Burch Eau De Parfum has been my go-to. My only complaint is that it fades quickly (somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd hour), which only means I need to scoop up a mini or rollerball size version so I can stash it in my purse. Oh, and it’s fiancé approved.
Tory Burch Eau De Parfum 3.4 oz, $110; available at Neiman Marcus
A complimentary sample of the Tory Burch fragrance was provided for this review but all opinions in this post are my own.
Have you tried the Tory Brunch lipstick? I am curious since I am a big fan of lipstick but I haven’t gotten a chance to try them and I want to a pink shade for the summer.
I have not tried the lipstick yet but I’m curious too! If you’re looking for a pretty pink shade, I love Tom Ford lipsticks. 🙂
I went to Nordstrom to purchase the Tory Burch fragrance. I had tested it in a magazine sample and had really liked it. I mentioned to the sales associate that I really like it because it was so light and I am sensitive to fragrances. I use “free detergent” Etc. She said because I am sensitive to fragrances she would suggest that I consider some other options. She said if I liked light I should try some other fragrances such as Lanvin Eclat d’arpege. This was nice but I still think the Tory Burch is what I liked the best. Was this a case of a spiff in the works? I think the Tory fragrance was lighter but I seemed to have been persuaded ( my own fault ) to buy the Lanvin fragrance . Would appreciate your input.
Thanks for sharing, Susan. I haven’t tried the Lanvin fragrance but the reason I liked the Tory Burch fragrance was because it was so light and airy. I used to be influenced by sales people all the time but ultimately you should purchase what you LOVE, not what someone else recommends. Go for what makes you happy!
