There is nothing more relaxing than spending my Sunday doing absolutely nothing except lounging, catching up on my favorite TV shows and testing at-home spa products. This week’s product: Bliss Micro Magic Spa-Powered Microdermabrasion Treatment. The word “microdermabrasion” sounds intimidating (I mean, usually you see that on a spa menu, not in your every day skincare products). But this twice-weekly ritual is the ultimate facial exfoliator that has taken up a permanent residence in my shower caddy. You know that feeling after you just finish brushing your teeth? Yeah, that’s pretty much what it feels like after just one application. Simply massage a quarter-sized amount onto skin for one minute, rinse, pat dry and moisturize. Its minty scent is incredibly refreshing and the tingling sensation you get while massaging gives you faith it’s actually working. I was a little worried this gritty formula would wreak havoc on my sensitive skin but thanks to its aloe and mushroom extract it reduced any trace of inflammation for a soft, smooth, healthy-looking complexion. The result: glowing skin for the long week ahead!
