Here’s a positive to quarantine life — I have more time to mask than I ever did before. Treatments are often a forgotten part of my skincare routine. Here’s a list of my favorite skincare masks that I enjoy using right now. For reference, I have dry skin with sensitivity concerns.
Caudalie Detox Mask: I’ve been using this overnight oil twice a week for two-ish years now and I just recently restocked on this during the Sephora sale. In the last year, my skin has changed so much. Breakouts are more frequent and this oil calms my skin and refreshes my complexion overnight.
Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask: I’ve tried a few different skincare masks from Laneige that you can check out here for a more in-depth review. If you have sensitive and dry skin, then you will love this affordable overnight mask. It’s unscented and will work overnight to hydrate and plump skin. If you’re looking for a lightweight overnight mask, you may want to try the Water Sleeping Mask (gel formula, lighter on the skin).
Alchimie Forever Kantic Brightening Moisture Mask: If you have dry, sensitive or aging skin, this botanical mask will work wonders on the complexion. My skin always feels smooth, hydrated and generally brighter after I wear this for 20 minutes. This could also work as an overnight mask (applied with a thin layer). I may need to try this next time!
OLEHENRIKSEN Cold Plunge Pore Mask: I need to use this 15-minute mask more often because it instantly diminishes the appearance of pores. This is teal colored clay mask that detoxifies skin and controls oil. I like to use this on my t-zone that typically gets oily. The most difficult part though is rinsing off—you have to use cold water to help tighten pores. Other than that, it’s a great mask!
Skincando Wild Honey Cleanser + Mask: I’ve truly fallen in love with this luxury organic mask that also doubles as a cleanser. I use this a few times a week or whenever my skin is looking stressed. This is made from wild thyme honey from Greece, as organic spices and superfoods. A tablespoon of water will prevent the mask from being so sticky. It’s by far, the most expensive skincare product I currently use but for my sensitive complexion, it’s so worth it.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: My favorite lip mask of all time! It’s $20 but you get a hefty amount of products to last a long time. I apply this before bed and wake up to smooth, hydrated lips (no chapped, cracked lips!). I have the original flavor (berry) but it also comes in vanilla and apple lime.
Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Eye Masks: Although I think the brand itself is a bit overhyped and overpriced, I have to admit these eye masks have become a bi-weekly routine. The gold foil helps keep the serum from evaporating while the formula works to keep the under eye hydrated. I love the cooling effect it has too.
How is quarantine life treating you right now? What skincare masks are you loving right now? Let me know in the comments.
I’m using the Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask because I have a dry skin and a friend of mine advised and recommended it for me. Thanks for these great recommendations.
