My Favorite Moisturizing Skincare Products

Moisturizing skincare products - Politics of Pretty

I’ve been getting questions from readers on how I keep my skin in such good condition—even my photographer, Stacy Bauer, texted me the other day asking for eye cream recommendations. I love giving beauty advice so if you every have a question or need some product recommendations, feel free to connect with me on social media or email me at politicsofprettyblog[at]gmail.com. Today, I thought I’d share my favorite moisturizing skincare products. Whether it’s a cleanser or oil, there are plenty of ways to stay hydrated as long as you use the right products.

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water—I’m a huge fan of Simple cleansing products. I always travel with their facial cleansing cloths but this gentle cleansing micellar water is the most gentle remover I’ve used and easily removes my face and eye makeup at home—no rinsing required!

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream—I’m sure you’ve seen me talk about this on Instagram (if not, follow me on IG @politics_pretty for beauty tips and tricks) and I love using this in the morning to help wake me up during the week. It helps de-puff tired eyes and smooths the way for makeup.

Pixi Glow Tonic—Applying toner has not been a part of my skincare routine until I tried this. I’ve started using it morning and night between cleansing and moisturizing and I’ve noticed my skin tone even out while feeling clean and smooth. Most exfoliating toners I’ve tried have a slight stinging sensation but this application felt refreshing, probably thanks to its Aloe Vera ingredient.

e.l.f. Illuminating Eye Cream—This has helped me reduce the appearance of my dark circles. I usually find myself applying on the weekends so I can take a break from wearing makeup.

Jouer Daily Repair Treatment Oil—I’ve been applying a few drops at night and lightly patting on my skin to keep it moisturized throughout the night. I always wake up with a smooth, hydrated complexion.
