OK, am I the only one that goes a little spend crazy during the Sephora sale? Last year I scooped up a bunch of makeup and hair products. This year, it’s the complete opposite. I went on a major Sephora skincare haul (and a few makeup/hair products).
When I kicked off 2019, I completed a no spend challenge for the month of January (and then carried it into February) so I have spent very little money on beauty products up until this sale. I’m doing my best to not pay full-price on anything this year unless I absolutely have to. So with that, today’s post is a major Sephora skincare haul (and makeup and hair).
Skincare
Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner: I tried a sample of this and fell in love with the formula. This is a hydrating toner that always makes my skin feel clean and refreshed after using. I knew I wanted the full-size version.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: I’ve been applying this before bed every night since I got this and I’ve already noticed a difference in how much softer my lips are.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5: So I was addicted to Glossier Super Bounce and used up my last few drops. I waited and waited for a restock and finally gave up waiting and decided to try this $7 serum. I’ve been using it the last few days and my first impressions are that it’s sticky and a little runny.
Caudalie Overnight Recovery Oil: I absolutely love my Overnight Detox Oil so I thought I would give this a try. It’s supposed to help hydrate skin overnight.
Drunk Elephant Rise + Glow Brightening Duo: The Sukari Babyfacial was the first DE product I ever purchased and to be honest, I don’t love it. I’ve always been curious about their other products so I figured now was my chance. I’ll keep you posted on my first impressions.
Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream: Out of my huge Sephora skincare haul I was the most excited about this moisturizer. I usually like to patch test new skincare/brands I haven’t tried to prevent a disaster from happening on my face but I was too impatient for that. Haha. I LOVE how this cream smells and of course, I am blown away by how amazingly plump and moisturized my skin feels when using this.
Tatcha Bestsellers Set: A set of four Tatcha minis including a cleansing oil, dewy skin mist, moisturizer and exfoliating wash. I’m hoping this will come in handy when I travel but I haven’t had a chance to try any of these yet.
Bath & Body, etc.
Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant: A restock but in a different scent, coconut + vanilla. Love!
Jack Black Turbo Wash for Hair & Body: Restock for my husband. He loves using this as a body wash and I think it smells so good.
Cocofloss: Believe it or not, this was a recommendation from my dentist. It was $9, which is expensive, so we’ll see if it’s worth the splurge.
REN AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum: OK so this was on my wish list during the Sephora sale; however, it was sold out online before I had the chance to purchase. I got extremely lucky and a PR rep offered to send it my way to try. Look out for a separate blog post that reviews this product in-depth.
Makeup
Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Linen is my go-to eye primer. It’s the only eye primer that covers up the discoloration on my lids and makes them look brighter.
Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer: I was obsessed with this a couple years back and wanted to scoop up a lightweight tinted moisturizer with SPF for summer.
Tarte Tartelette Tease Palette: A mini eyeshadow palette that I can take with me when I travel. I love the combination of matte and shimmer shades. I told myself no more eyeshadow palettes but I couldn’t help myself!
Fresh Sugar Dream Lip Treatment: Another restock. The first time I think I’ve ever reached the end of a lip tube. I like to layer a clear lip gloss on top and it’s the perfect every day pink lip.
Bareminerals Dew Mist Setting Spray Mini: I redeemed my points to try this setting spray. They had me at “dew,” however, the first time using it left me with residue on my forehead. Not sure I’ll be scooping up the full-size version anytime soon but willing to give it another try when I travel.
Hair
Playa Every Day Shampoo: I was running low on shampoo and instead of restocking I decided to try something new and in the clean beauty department. This shampoo smells like coconut so naturally, I’m addicted. I didn’t purchase the conditioner and now I wish I did.
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3: I’ve seen so many rave reviews online and by other hair bloggers and decided to give it a try. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo Mini: I used my rewards points for this little guy. Packing this in my summer travel bag!
Did you haul anything from the Sephora sale? Let me know in the comments!
I just started using the REN sunscreen. This whole brand is new to me.

I’ve only tried a couple REN products prior to this but the Body Serum is super interesting!
I’ve heard so many great things about the Ren and Indie Lee products — I need to pick these up ASAP. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Opalex Hair Perfector!
