Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

When I think about my can’t-live-without makeup essentials, mascara easily tops my list. Without a tube of inky-black mascara, my lashes look limp, short and basically non-existent. Since I started blogging a little over three years ago, I’ve tested hundreds of tubes and to date, only five sit in my makeup bin. Well, make that six. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara is like a push-up bra for your lashes (without the uncomfortable underwire, ahem). First and foremost, it instantly opens up my eyes. This wand is special because it’s filled with tiny little hooks to help separate, lift and curl lashes (a technology that is patent-pending). I tested this without using my Georgie Beauty Eyelash Curler and while I do prefer a little extra ‘oomph,’ my lashes did just fine without it. This formula also contains Provitamin B5 and Serine, ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits. Unlike other mascaras, there’s no absurd amount of excess product you have to scrape off before applying. And my lashes don’t feel brittle or stiff (a huge plus in my book). In terms of staying power, I can attest with this situation: I applied Roller Lash at 7AM and even after an eight hour work day, I went to a Studio Cycling class at my gym and walked out sweaty, but no smudging whatsoever. And finally, for the win: it’s easy to remove at night. I can’t tell you how many tubes of mascara have exceeded my expectations only to plummet as soon as I take a makeup-removing wipe or cotton pad to my eyes. Skip the drugstore aisle this time and treat yourself. This one is a keeper!
