Wander Beauty Review: Makeup Multitaskers

Wander Beauty Review featured by top MD beauty blogger, The Beauty Minimalist

Video ads kept popping up on my Instagram feed over the last few months and somehow I found myself mesmerized by Wander Beauty and their “get ready with me” content.

I’m always curious about newer brands of makeup—especially complexion perfectors like foundation, concealer, etc. The brand was promoting a 20% off sale one weekend and that’s when I figured it was the best time to try a few products from the brand.

I placed my order on a Sunday, it shipped on a Monday and it arrived at my house by Thursday. Fast shipping already has me feeling good vibes. The packaging is cute—the burgundy color scheme is chic. My delivery wasn’t overly packaged, which I appreciate—they kept it minimal. It also came with a 15% off coupon code if I decide to purchase from them again.

I test drove several different products from the brand and I wanted to share my own Wander Beauty review.

WANDER BEAUTY REVIEW: 5 TRIED & TESTED PRODUCTS

Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation:

The foundation is in a tube with a doe foot applicator, which honestly is very different from what I’m used to. The pros: I like that I can better target blemishes and discoloration and spot treat certain areas without having to coat my entire face in foundation. The Cons: I’m not a fan of the foundation brush I purchased from them. I prefer using my BeautyBlender for this type of formula. The other issue I had is that I’m not sure this it the right shade for me. I really wish they had product placement in my local Sephora so I could swatch other shades.

Lipsetter Dual Lipstick and Liner:

I really love this particular shade, “on the mauve,” and the double-ended lip liner makes such a difference! I rarely wear lip liner and I’m sure if I did, my lip color would last so much longer. I purchased the shade “On the Mauve” and I feel like it’s a perfect deep pink shade for the fall season.

Trip for Two Blush and Bronzer Duo:

I think this is the last makeup product I needed but it also ended up being my favorite purchase from the brand. I purchased the shade Bellini/Costa Rei. The packaging feels luxurious and the blush and bronzer duo is so complimentary to my fair complexion. The bronzer shade, Costa Rei, doesn’t have any orange undertones while the blush is a vibrant peachy hue.

Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara:

Simply put, it works well as a curling mascara but I did not get much volume. If you’re a frequent reader, then you know how much I love my L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara. I tried layering it over my L’Oreal Lash Primer and that helped a little with the volume. I’ll make the most of this mascara since I paid $26 for it but I’m not sure if I will repurchase.

Eye Baggage Claim Masks:

The last and final product I tried from Wander Beauty was actually a freebie. I used some of my points to redeem a sample from Sephora. Applying these eye patches was easy and not messy like other eye masks I’ve tried. I wore them for about 30 minutes and my under eye definitely felt smooth and hydrated. The gold foil has a nice touch—definitely Insta worthy— but $25 for six eye patches seems overpriced to me, no? I feel like it’s worth buying if Sephora does another Beauty Insider sale.
