Supergoop Sunscreen Haul & Review

Supergoop x Rebecca Taylor SPF In Bloom Review

Supergoop Sunscreen Mini Haul

I know I’m influenced to purchase products based on a ton of good reviews; however, usually it only takes one bad (thorough) review to make me doubt my next purchase.

That’s kind of how I feel about Supergoop products. I want to stock up on sunscreen for the summer and I’ve been eyeing a few different products but I was a little hesitant because of few bad reviews I read on Sephora.

Over the weekend I popped in to Sephora and finally bit the bullet. I scooped up the Supergoop x Rebecca Taylor SPF in Bloom Kit ($25), which includes the following products:
Superscreen Daily Moisturizer SPF 40 (.5 oz )
Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 (.34 oz)
Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50 (1 oz)

First, it was the packaging that caught my eye. Rebecca Taylor is one of my favorite fashion designers and I like that it came in a resealable pouch. Also, I’m really into my mini skincare collection right now. Nothing makes packing beauty products easier when you have a collection of mini skincare and makeup products. I’ve been curious about a few Supergoop products but I purchased this mini set on a whim.

I don’t necessarily have regrets from purchasing this set but when you look at the little amount of product I got for what I paid ($25 for less than 2 oz of product) it seems a little ridiculous, right?

The daily moisturizer reminds me of the Kiehl’s face cream, except not as thick. It feels very lightweight, which is nice, but it does feel like it would clog my pores and it has a sticky texture so I don’t know if this is something I would buy the full-size version of. I don’t have acne-prone skin either, so if you have oily skin I would avoid this.

I was pleasantly surprised with the setting mist because the reviews online say otherwise. The mist is super fine and sprays evenly, so I didn’t deal with any awkward squirts or white residue. I never reapply sunscreen if I’m wearing makeup so to find something that I can reapply that won’t ruin my makeup is a win in my book. This will definitely be something I toss in my straw bag for touch-ups to protect my skin throughout the day at the beach.

Finally, the Unseen Sunscreen is the one of the Supergoop products I’ve been wanting to try for a while. This formula is supposed to be an invisible, weightless makeup-gripping, daily SPF to protect skin from the sun, fine lines/wrinkles and dryness. I’ve seen a ton of good reviews… but I’ve also seen some not so positive reviews. Currently, I’ve been relying on an old bottle of Glossier Invisible Shield (which I love) but I’m using it very sparingly because it’s currently sold out online.

So far, I’m really liking it. For one, it doesn’t make me look paler than I already am and it doesn’t feel greasy or sticky on my skin. There’s no white cast with this product and absorbs into skin quickly. It also layers really well under makeup. I liked it so much I scooped up the full-size version.
