Strive for Progress, Not Perfection

Word

Last week was the best week of my life this year. Thus making this week extremely stressful and overwhelming. I move in with my fiancé tomorrow and we basically have no furniture except a queen bed, two end tables, one floor lamp and some kitchen essentials. I’ve been on Pinterest 24/7 this week looking at home decor ideas (in the words of Carrie Bradshaw, “I’ve been cheating on fashion with furniture.”) As overwhelming as it is to worry about renter’s insurance, setting up Comcast, etc., these wise words, “strive for progress, not perfection,” I found on Pinterest reminded me to just slow my roll. #AdultProblems

Lauren Conrad dishes on the secret to her winged eyeliner look.

Loved reading about Charlotte Tillbury’s mascara arsenal. It’s the art of mascara-cocktailing at its best.

This week I’ve been lining my eyes with Stila Smudge Stick Eyeliner in violet. I know, a random link love, but I thought I’d share.

Someone asked my blogger friend, Allie, when is it time to wear makeup? And I love Allie’s response. An honest and real response.

My friend (and a Politics of Pretty featured AM to PM-er), Susanna Quinn, is launching a luxury app to find your blow drys, personal trainers and more. What a brilliant idea.
