My current spring makeup routine is all about a glowy, natural complexion. This routine is definitely when I’m looking to create a “full face” of makeup. If you’re looking for quick and easy 5-10 minute routines, check out my post on Subtl Beauty.
Here is my “full face” of my favorite products right now for a spring makeup routine.
First, I like to prep my skin with sunscreen and this illuminating primer. With warmer weather season, I don’t like to my base to be too heavy.
Foundation has never been my thing so I was super excited when Rare Beauty recently launched a tinted moisturizer with SPF 20. I ended up buying two shades during the Sephora Sale, 10N and 12C. According to RB’s foundation conversion chart, my shade is supposed to be 10N but I found that mixing it with 12C gave me a more true match to my neutral leaning cool undertone. What I like about the tinted moisturizer is that it has SPF 20 and doesn’t have too dewy of a finish. I’m still deciding if blending with a brush is better than a sponge but I’m leaning towards sponge. Glossier Stretch Concealer is still going strong and pairs well with the RB Tinted Moisturizer.
It took me a few tries to find the right cream bronzer but I think the Bronzer Stick is it. I have very fair skin so I’ve been using this blending brush to pickup product from the stick rather than drawing it directly on my face. It has a slightly warm undertone but with a light hand it looks like the perfect sun-kissed glow.
For cheek color, I’ve been switching between my signature shade of Cloud Paint in Puff and this Rare Beauty Liquid Blush in Hope (a nude mauve).
For a little extra dew, I’m using Merit Highlighter Balm in Cava, which is a beautiful champagne dew that glides on really smooth.
Glossier Monochromes in Almond (a rosy brown) is my everyday go-to for an easy eyeshadow look that offers dimension but doesn’t require much skill or effort. I use a fluffy brush to blend the matte shade into my crease and a stiffer brush to pack on the satin shade on my lid and lower lash line.
I stopped using lash serums in hopes that I could simply rely on mascara that offers volume when I want bigger looking lashes. This Rare Beauty Mascara doesn’t disappoint. I haven’t experienced any clumps when using this wand but it does seem more difficult to remove at night.
My brow routine has always been pretty simple – this Merit Brow Gel works quite well. I like the size of the spoolie, which is bigger in size compared to Boy Brow. The pomade does a good job grooming my brows into place but I also like that they don’t feel stiff.
I’m into everyday neutral lip colors and I’m on a mission to pan this new shade of Tower 28 Jelly Lip Gloss in Pistachio, a pretty milky nude pink. When I’m not wearing this lip gloss, I’ve been using the Merit lipstick in the shade Baby, which is a perfect neutral pink with a satin finish for an everyday makeup look.
