TRESemme at Prabal Gurung Spring Summer 2015 - Backstage/Front Row

I’m sharing another favorite beauty look I spotted at Fashion Week. Ladies, take note: it’s all about embracing our hair’s natural texture, regardless of how you style it. Paul Hanlon, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Stylist for TRESemmé, created a look as if “she might have just stepped out of the gym.” Needless to say, I can get down with that. I rarely have time to polish my hair during the week and recently I received a few compliments when I wear my hair in a ponytail in the office. The Prabal Gurung spring/summer 2014 collection was inspired by strong, athletic and modern women and the structure of the ponytail is equal parts sporty and chic.

Here’s how you can get the look:

  1. Apply TRESemmé Extra Firm Control Mousse to the roots, section by section, ensuring full coverage by working upwards from the nape of the neck up to the parting.
  2. Comb through the wide tooth comb to create separation between the hair and run your fingers to accentuate the texture further. Leave mousse to dry naturally rather than use a hair dryer to give extra hold and layers to the look.
  3. Pull the hair back tightly from the sides of the head and down to create a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. Secure tightly with an elastic.
  4. Smooth a small amount of TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Smoothing Crème Serum onto the tail of the ponytail and twist it into a loose knot. Blast with ahair dryer to achieve natural movement in the ends.
