I love to mask (I mean, Mask Magic is one of my favorite skincare series on this blog) but I haven’t had the time or the patience to apply a serum-soaked sheet to my face. With the holiday craze right around the corner, I’m looking for short cuts when it comes to my beauty routine without compromising on self-care.
I was fortunate to receive a sample of the Foreo UFO mini to test and review on my blog.
The Foreo UFO Mini is a smart mask treatment that combines heating and T-Sonic pulsations. The product is marketed as a soothing facial massage that can be achieved in 90-seconds.
To be completely honest—I never thought I’d have the patience for another facial device. Back in 2013/2014 I purchased the Clarisonic Mia 2 and I think I used it a total of 10 times (it’s still collecting dust in my closet).
When I first heard about the UFO mini I was very intrigued because this particular product sounded like an easy shortcut to achieving soft, glowy skin in under 2 minutes.
How the UFO mini Works
Setting up the initial treatment using the UFO mini is way easier than I anticipated. After unboxing the device, I had to download the Foreo app on my iPhone to pair the device. From there I scanned the mask barcode. I tried the hyaluronic acid and red algae Make My Day mask. Once I clipped the mask to the UFO mini, all I had to do was listen to the instructions on the app and gently glide the device across my face in circular motions.
I didn’t expect this tiny device that conveniently fits in the palm of my hand to be so powerful. It also combines thermo-therapy (a comfortable, gentle heat) and LED light therapy to help enhance the mask benefits.
Once my 90 seconds were up, the serum had quickly soaked into my skin and I barely had any excess essence to wipe away (unlike regular sheet masks that make my skin feel sticky). My skin felt hydrated and smooth and it looked as if I had just experienced a 60-minute spa facial. Talk about an amazing time saver!
I don’t think I’ll ever use another 20-minute sheet mask again. Goodbye 20-minute sheet masks, welcome to my life Foreo UFO mini.
