Skincare Picks

Farmacy Honey Halo Moisturizer
I purchased a mini version of this last year and it lasted me through the entire winter season. I recently restocked on this because I love this formula so much and it’s a great restorative cream. If your moisture barrier is suffering, this will help your skin bounce back. Honey is antimicrobial so if you deal with acne, it may help with that as well.

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil
This is a must-have for the colder months, especially if your legs gets especially dry. This is my favorite shower product to use as a body wash and for shaving. I also have the almond scented milk veil to continue smelling so good.

The INKEY List Blemish Night Treatment
I get hormonal acne from time to time and have had good experiences with this overnight blemish treatment. I had one bad pimple that formed on my chin after my cycle and I applied this gel formula before bed. By morning, it was significantly less noticeable and after the third night it was completely gone.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
Another skincare recommendation for those with sensitive skin. Here’s an eye cream that will stay put and not burn the skin around the eyes. It’s made with avocado oil to hydrate, smooth and brighten the under-eye area. I find it to be a tad greasy so I typically only use it at night.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration
It’s fast absorbing and doesn’t leave an oily finish. If you have very dry, sensitive or eczema-prone skin, this intense hydrator will help with any flare ups.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
My favorite lip balm (aside from Glossier BDC) that comes in four delicious smelling shades. I always carry vanilla or vanilla beige in my purse but they also just recently launched brown sugar, which sounds perfect for the holiday season.

Makeup Picks

Benefit Gimme Brow+ Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel
This brow gel might be the easiest tool when it comes to shaping and filling in brows. It looks very natural and easy to add fullness and definition. For reference, I wear shade 3 (neutral light brown).

Tower 28 MakeWaves Lengthening & Curling Mascara
The hype for this mascara is real. I’m genuinely amazed at how much longer my lashes look when I apply just two to three coats of this vegan mascara. As a contact lens wearer with relatively thin lashes, this tube works magic. My only complaint is that it’s a little more difficult to remove at night.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Quad
This is my favorite luxury eyeshadow palette. It’s artistry made easy with four shades to help give you a smooth base, definition, drama and shimmer. Eye colors include a pearlescent rose, matte dusky rose, matte berry brown, and shimmering rosebud.

Merit Bronze Balm
I’ve tried too many cream bronzers to count this year but Merit’s version is easily one of my top two favorites. With a unique oblong shape, this sheer, buildable bronzer adds a wash of color and dimension. Available in five shades.

Merit Flush Balm Cream Blush
I had a hard time including just one Merit product in my list. For the everyday minimalist, this dome-shaped blush is very user friendly and blends beautifully with a brush. I’ve been using Cheeky for the last year; however, I added Beverly Hills to my collection and I think that is more flattering on my fair skin tone.

Summer Fridays Skin Tint
I would recommend this natural skin tint for makeup minimalists that prefer light coverage and it’s packed with hyaluronic acid. Unlike some other skin tints I’ve tried this year, it does not cling to my dry patches! My only complaint is the amount of product for the price. I would only purchase during a sale. I wear shade 1.

Beauty Gift Sets

I’m really impressed with the beauty sets they have this year. There’s no better time to shop for gifts than during the Sephora holiday savings event. I’ve narrowed down to sets that are on my own wish list or ones I’ve tried in the past.
