5 Red Lipstick Picks for Holiday Makeup Looks

5 red lipstick picks for holiday makeup looks

I’m on a serious liquid lipstick binge right now and we all know there’s nothing more festive than a classic red lip for the holidays. Just remember to wear lipsticks with blue undertones, it will make your teeth look whiter!

Unlike my previous lip posts this isn’t going to be a ranking. I’m just excited to share with you a brief breakdown of each brand and shade of red that I’m obsessed with right now. Hopefully, you can find the right red lipstick for you this holiday season and beyond. Here are my five holiday red lipstick picks.

Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick, Fraise Bonbon: This matte cool berry red has always felt comfortable on my lips (thank you Vitamin E) and gives me major Parisian vibes. I also love the subtle vanilla scent.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick, Beso: Somehow, I’m surviving off a deluxe sample size because it was sold out at Sephora and Ulta. Luckily, I stumbled upon their Warm & Fuzzy holiday lip set and figured it was worth it just to get my hands on a fresh tube. Did I need it? No. Did I want it? YES.

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick, 01 Always Red: I added this to my cart a couple weeks ago so I could meet my annual spend and stay VIB through 2018. Personally, I am really impressed by the formula. The color is rich and stays on for hours. Compared to my other red lippies, this one has a slightly darker hue.

Physicians Formula The Healthy Lip Velvet Liquid Lipstick, Fight Free Red-icals: If you’re on a tight budget this $8 liquid lipstick will still satisfy any classic red lip dreams. Avocado oil will keep your lips hydrated throughout the evening.

YSL Glossy Stain Lip Color, 9 Rouge Laque: I’ve had this YSL lipstick for so long that I’m having trouble reading the worn off shade number on the bottom of the tube. This lip product has the shine of a gloss but is also supposed to “stain your lips” so it lasts all day. Compared to my other lippies, this has the best chance of fading in the most even way possible. The product hoarder in me can’t bring myself to throw it out even though it’s probably expired. But let’s be real, who throws out YSL?!
