I don’t think I’ve ever paid $48 for a body scrub… until now. One Love Organics has a new fan.
If you read my last post, then you know that I’m willing to splurge on luxury beauty products every now and then. I mean I am a beauty blogger after all. But I will say in my lifetime, I’ve never splurged on a body scrub.
I’ve always relied on more low-end scrubs but none ever left me feeling wowed. I’ve tried plenty of body scrubs but most of them have had a watery consistency and have been not so pleasant as I tried to rinse off in the shower. There’s nothing worse than a lingering formula AFTER you’ve stepped out of the shower.
I’m heading to Fort Lauderdale for a bachelorette party in a couple weekends and my beauty prep agenda consists of two things:
- Stock up on sunscreen. (Another post on that soon.)
- Get my glow on.
I’d much rather use my slow glow self-tanner lotions but the bigger, more challenging feat, is properly preparing. And it starts with a really good exfoliator.
The SA at Bluemercury led me to One Love Organics Vitamin C Body Polish. I was immediately hooked by its slightly sweet coconut scent. This can be applied on wet or dry skin. If you use it on dry skin, you’ll get a more intense exfoliation.
The organic sugar crystals are large and coarse, but for my dry heels and elbows, it’s the perfect recipe for hydrated, smooth skin. Using it at home has been addictive. Seriously, I have to pace myself from using this so often because I want to savor every last drop. Oh, and the slow glow tan? Yes, it’s working quite nicely. I’ve been using this self-tanning lotion for an even application.
Do you have a favorite body scrub? Am I crazy for spending $48 on One Love Organics Body Polish? Actually, don’t answer that second question.
Wow, $48!! If it’s worth it though, it’s worth it. I love the Tree Hut Shea Sugar scrubs 🙂
