I usually like to wait until the end of the month to share my beauty favorites; however, October has been filled with so many new makeup purchases, I figured I would share my them now. Find my October beauty favorites below!
Anti-Orange Bronzer
This is a new to me brand, theBalm Cosmetics. I’m so pale and so many fan favorite bronzers tend to pull orange on me. Take Home The Bronze is the antithesis of orange bronzer and I’m so grateful I found it. I use the lightest shade, Oliver, and I love that the compact also has a mirror.
Jouer Blush Palette
I’m in a Subreddit group for pale makeup artists and someone raved about this Jouer Bouquet D’Amour Six Shade Blush Palette. I don’t have too many products from the brand but when I looked up this limited edition palette, I immediately added it to my cart! Even though I can only wear about five out of the six shades (one is a beautiful orange-toned blush— there’s no way it would be flattering on my cool undertone), I justified it was still worth the price. The blushes are very pigmented so I apply with a light hand and gradually build the color.
New Drugstore Dupes
I’m always on the hunt for the best drugstore makeup dupes and I’m excited to share two great finds for my October beauty favorites:
The first dupe is the Maybelline Lifter Gloss. The packaging reminds me of KKW beauty but the formula is very similar to Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. I picked up the Maybelline gloss in the shade Silk, which is a beautiful mauve pink with tiny pink and gold shimmer. It’s made with hyaluronic acid so my lips feel really hydrated throughout the day. I’m tempted to pick up another shade because it feels really comfortable on the lips and isn’t super sticky.
I’ve always been a fan of the original Beauty Blender; however, knowing you have to replace it every 3-4 months, it becomes an expensive purchase habit. I came across a TikTok video that raved about these sponge dupes from Beakey on Amazon. It’s a 5-piece makeup sponge set that costs only $9! What an amazing deal.
Cool Toned Eyeshadows
I really love cool toned shadows right now and the Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette in Cool Neutrals definitely hits the spot. Albeit expensive, the shimmer and matte shades look so flattering and is perfect for everyday wear. The palette also includes a primer as well. I just wish this compact had a mirror!
Lip Care
The transition to cooler weather has me giving my lips extra TLC because we all know there’s nothing worse than chapped lips. There are two products that work really well for me: my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (holy grail and great value) and Glossier Bubblewrap (a dual eye and lip plumping cream). The Laneige Lip Mask is my overnight workhorse while Bubblewrap is like a primer for my lips before I apply lipstick or gloss.

Loveeee that lip mask! I’m going to try out another flavor/scent once my current one runs out
Yes, it’s the best! I have the glowy lip balms as well but they don’t hold a candle to the lip mask. Keep me posted on the next flavor you choose!
I have Jouer’s rose cut gems palette which I think was their holiday release last year. A lot of the colors are similar to the palette you have and I just love it! It’s become a staple in my everyday routine. I also really like the lifter gloss. I haven’t used a ton of maybelline lip products but this one is really nice.
Oh, good to know! I absolutely love this blush palette and the gloss is such a great dupe to some other high end options. Thanks so much for reading!
