2015 has been quite the year! It’s hard to believe 2016 is right around the corner but I’m looking forward to a romantic evening with my husband. Even though we don’t have any fancy plans, I still love getting all dolled up. I’m sharing my New Year’s Eve beauty look featuring EcoTools limited-edition holiday brush sets PLUS a chance to win your own set of EcoTools brushes. The Four-Piece Beautiful Complexion Set, Festive & Flawless Face Set and Mini Essentials Holiday Set are must-haves to keep you looking beautiful in 2016!
Lately I’ve been all about champagne eyeshadow. I applied NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia (a shimmering topaz) using the Eye Shading Brush all over my lid and crease to give some dimension to my eye look. I never leave the house without a little eyeliner on date night. Right now I’m obsessed with Clinique Skinny Sticks. Using the EcoTools Angled Liner Brush, the dense tapered bristles are perfect for smudging the black liner on the outer corner of my eyes. I added a couple coats of Butter London Iconoclast Mega Volume Lacquer Mascara for doll-like lashes.
Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener instantly brightens my under eye. I’ve figured out dabbing and gently blending the product using the Correcting Concealer Brush perfects my look. It works great on powder concealers too.
I’m always relying on an extra boost of highlight. Just a few sweeps of Stila All Over Shimmer Duo using my Mattifying Finish Brush gives me the perfect pale shade of an iridescent pink glow.
A NYE beauty look isn’t complete without a red lip! I’m wearing mark. Lipclick Matte Full Color Lipstick in Siren, a classic sexy red.
EcoTools has graciously decided to gift one Politics of Pretty reader with all three brush sets I’ve mentioned in this post! To enter, click the Rafflecopter giveaway below and good luck!

My NY beauty look will be minimal but attractive.
I’m going for smokey eyes I think. Not having a very good skin week though, so I’m dreading seeing people. Do you have any tips for a skin routine? I suffer from breakouts, and your skin looks incredible!
I have never tried Ecotools but they always looked nice. I still have no idea what I’m going to do with my makeup. I usually decide depending on how I feel that day but probs ill wear my Kat Von D liquid lipstick, I’m hooked!
I can’t wait for NYE! I think this year I’m going with a dark berry lip and sparkly champagne eye shadow 🙂
A smoky eye and a red lip!
My look will be simple since I am hosting a very casual dinner. Soft metallic eyes and some gloss.
I will probably wear gold eye shadow, shimmery blush, and a wine lipstick! As an Avon Rep. I loved seeing mark. Lipclick in your post!!!
To be honest, I’m not going to do much makeup-wise this year. I’m seeing mostly family so I won’t be worried about fixing up my makeup throughout the night to see if it is perfect. I think I’ll go with a natural matte eye with brown and mostly neutral shades, and a nice mauve lip.
My New Year’s Eve is spent with all my friends at a house party and we all wear pajamas! But I still do my makeup nice – it’s a slightly smokey eye with a bit of an illuminating blush. It’s not completely natural but not too done up, either.
Very pretty! I think I might keep it subtle tonight. Neutral colors, but with a touch of sparkle for festiveness 🙂
My New Year’s Eve will be spent at home this year so my look will be au naturel. 😉
Happy New Year, Kara!
My NYE beauty look includes my favorite Smashbox Primer, Loreal Infallible Matte Pro Foundation, Becca Highlighter, Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette, & Benefit They’re Real Mascara!
XO.
I love liquid eyeliner and a classic red lip!
