Quarantine has completely changed my 5 minute makeup routine. I find myself wearing much less makeup than I ever did before. This is my quick and easy makeup routine when I work from home or venture outside for walks around my neighborhood, grocery store runs or quick errands.

[UPDATED]

A Complete 5 Minute Makeup Routine:

First and foremost— moisturizer! I love my Caudalie Moisturizing Sorbet. It’s very lightweight and smells wonderful. I don’t like wearing heavy moisturizers, especially under makeup. I love that Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 doubles as a primer. It’s a clear, serum-like formula that layers nicely over moisturizer but also smoothes the way for makeup and blurs my large pores.

For that no makeup makeup look (and dewy skin) I apply Bareminerals Complexion Rescue (in the lightest shade Opal). No need for a brush or sponge to apply. I find that my fingertips work best. I also try to gently pat the formula under my eyes so I can skip concealer. If I have an important video conference call, then I’ll use Stretch Concealer (I wear shade G12) to help brighten my under eyes and conceal any blemishes.

I use a tiny bit of Wowder (G11-G12) to set my concealer and T-Zone so I don’t look overly shiny/oily.

I haven’t been wearing much lip/cheek color but I recently splurged on Lauren Conrad Lip & Cheek Tint in the shade Peony and I really love the formula and the dewy finish. I don’t wear this every single day when I’m working from home but I do reach for it when I have multiple video meetings a day.

For a quick eye makeup, I do two things: first, I’ll apply Glossier Skywash in the shade Pebble on my lids for a wash of color. Pebble is a very light, neutral taupe with a matte finish. This is a must-have for me right now because I have oily lids. Then, I’ll either apply LC Beauty Liquid Eyeliner or pencil on my upper lash line for some definition.

For mascara, I’ve been bouncing between ILIA Limitless Mascara (my favorite clean beauty option) and Lash Slick. I love them both for different reasons—ILIA is a great lengthing and volumizing duo while Lash Slick is perfect for separating and lengthening lashes and never ever smudges.

For my brows, just two coats of Boy Brow instantly tints, shapes and fills them. Best. Purchase. Ever.
