My Favorite Beauty Products of 2018

2018 brought me so many new skincare, makeup and hair products.

Here’s a quick recap: I spent a lot of my money on Sephora.com this year (renewed my VIB status for 2019—woohoo!). I’ve developed a new obsession with clean beauty products. Another beauty highlight was getting to visit the Glossier showroom in October. Although, how fitting for them to renovate and launch a brand new showroom less than a month later. I’m not mad though—that just means I have to make another trip next year. Getting my beauty tip featured on The Body Shop website was another great moment too!

Anyways, this post is one of my favorite year-end blog post traditions—sharing my favorite beauty products of 2018.

Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil*: When I feel like I’m on the verge of a breakout I use about 5-6 drops of this oil and I swear my skin looks clearer the next day.

Tenoverten Rose Cuticle Oil: I stopped paying for manicures at the nail salon almost a year ago because a) they were getting expensive and b) there’s nothing I hate more than chipped nail polish. I don’t paint my nails anymore, but that doesn’t mean I like to keep them looking good in other ways. This cuticle oil has immensely helped with keeping my cuticles moisturized especially during the colder months. Paired with my Deborah Lippmann CC Cream nail polish, this is a total game changer!

Foreo UFO Mini*: This easily became my favorite skincare device. I use this once or twice a week in the evening and it’s the perfect treatment to help me relax before bed.

NARS Climax Mascara: I’ve been switching between this and Lash Slick but I love my NARS tube for the volume and how it makes my lashes look thick and luscious.

Herbivore Coco Rose Coconut Oil Body Polish: This is fairly new to my skincare routine but if you saw my clean beauty product haul then you know how obsessed I am with this body scrub. It has the most faint rose scent and the texture is soft but effective.

Charlotte Tilbury Bigger Brighter Eyes: This is my favorite eyeshadow quad, but when I initially unboxed this it didn’t look like the photo online. It’s advertised as a limited-edition rose gold eyeshadow but in person it looks more like a muddy red-brown. I decided to still give this a shot and I’m pleasantly surprised with the color payoff—and on my lids it looks rose gold. The colors are so easy to blend and I love the shimmer finishes (I usually opt for matte all the time).

Jergens wet skin moisturizer review, drugstore body lotion

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer*: This was a staple during my summer skincare routine. It was a little strange at first—applying what felt like a shower gel before I could dry off—but my skin felt hydrated and soft immediately after. The faux glow wasn’t bad either (no streaks or patches).

Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer: Can you believe this is my first Fenty Beauty purchase? I fell in love with this lip gloss in the shade Fu$$y. It’s a beautiful dusty rose shade (a great neutral) and it’s super moisturizing on my lips.

Glossier Cloud Paint

Glossier Cloud Paint: This isn’t a new discovery by any means, but it is my favorite cream blush. Lately, I’ve been enjoying my favorite shades mixed together, puff and dusk. In the summer I love wearing beam. This is definitely a year-round staple.

Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray: This is the only hair product I tried this year that has me jumping up and down. First, I love the scent. My husband hates it, but I love it. I like using this as a dry shampoo.
