Last night I descended downtown (well, more like raced down Connecticut Avenue) to Karma by Erwin Gomez for a VIP reception to kick-off the spring season (because what other reason do we need?). Stylists at the salon showcased seven distinct ways to reset your look for spring (featuring style trends with Marlene Hu of Hu’s Wear).
The famed makeup and brow artist played host at his West End salon to a bevy of VIP industry insiders, media and socialites as guests noshed on cupcakes and sipped on Moet & Chandon Imperial champagne. Guests also had the opportunity to win one of Karma’s coveted body, hair or cosmetic services (a $100 value) with raffle proceeds benefitting Fashion for Paws, a long-time annual event hosted by the Washington Humane Society.
Check out some of the snapshots I took from last night!
Slightly obsessed with Erwin Gomez’s makeup line. Hello, spring!

One of the models at the reception featuring one of my favorite beauty looks, a sock bun and a red lip.
Another one of my favorite looks, geometric prints and an ombre side pony. Yes and yes.
Gorgeous floral arrangements, courtesy of Le Printemps.
One of my favorites, Dannia Hakki, co-founder and principal of MoKi Media and friend.
Karma stylists Peggy Ioakim (she used to do my hair when I was 10 years old!) and Patrick McKee.
