There’s no denying that false eyelashes add instant glamour to any beauty look. Wearing falsies may seem complicated but it really only takes just a few minutes to prep and apply.
Here’s a simple five-step guide on how to apply false lashes featuring one of my favorite brands, Esqido mink lashes, known for their weightless genuine mink fur that can be worn up to 30 times (so you can get more bang for your buck!).
Personally, I love wearing false lashes for every day glamour and special occasions. For this tutorial, I’m using Little Black Lash ($34), a light and versatile pair for a natural beauty look. If you want to enhance your eyes without it looking obvious, I highly recommend this pair!
Prior to applying mink lashes, do your eye makeup and mascara first.
Step 1: Measure the length of the false lash to make sure it fits your eye shape. If the strip is too long, cut the outer edge with a pair of scissors.
Step 2: Bend the lashes in a “c” shape and hold for a few seconds. This helps mold to your eye shape so it’s easier to apply.
Step 3: Squeeze some lash glue (I’m using Benefit Lash Glue which has a clear adhesive that dries quickly) straight from the tube or use a toothpick and glide it across the strip.
Step 4: Wait 10-12 seconds for the glue to get tacky before placing on your lash line. Use a pair of tweezers (I’m using Tweezerman Ultra Precision Slant Tweezers) to apply the lash at the base of your lash line.
Step 5: Apply liquid eyeliner to fill in any gaps or cover lash glue.
Removal instructions:
1. Using a q-tip, dab some eye makeup remover along the band of the lashes. Wait a few seconds before gently pushing down on the lashes and pulling on the tip of the band.
2. Peel off any excess lash glue from the band (this extends the life of the lashes).
3. Keep your lashes in mint condition by storing them in the original Esqido case.

Esqido gifted me with a complimentary pair of mink lashes but all opinions in this post are my own.
I literally just used falsies for the first time last weekend (believe it or not) for a wedding I attended and I absolutely loved them! I used cheap-o’s since I wasn’t sure if I would like them but it may be time to invest. Also, I used Revlon precision clear glue and it worked perfectly. bit.ly/1qDIP7h
This is a great tutorial because I’ve never been able to successfully apply false lashes!
Thanks for this tutorial! I love false lashes and how they look, I’ll definitely try to apply falsies. I hope I’ll make it!
