15. That’s the approximate number of eyeshadow palettes currently in my makeup arsenal. As of right now, I’m only rotating between three when it comes to my summer makeup routine. Today, I’m sharing my current everyday eye makeup favorites and how I use them for work or play.

All the powder eyeshadow palettes I featured in this post are all Urban Decay. That wasn’t planned and I didn’t even realize it until I started snapping photos for this post. I guess you could say I’m a UD junkie.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, eye makeup essentials

Urban Decay Naked Basics: I purchased this on a whim when I saw on Ulta.com that it was marked down to only $20. File this under the most classic everyday eyeshadow palette, like ever. I’ve been using this palette practically every day for work. Naked 2 is the perfect matte brown crease color for my fair skin. I’ll sweep Faint on my bottom lash line and blend it into the outer corner of my eyes. Venus is a beautiful demi-matte shade for under eyebrow and inner corner highlights. It’s currently $19 on the UD website and I assume it’s because its being discontinued.

Urban Decay Petite Heat: This palette was gifted to me by the brand. I know this is a must-have for the spring season but I think this works really well year-round. I’ve been using this palette for date nights and when I’m in the mood for a spicy eye look. Hot Spell is a great transition shade and Wild Thing mixed with Heist adds beautiful definition to the outer corners.

Urban Decay Beached: Pretty sure I blogged about my obsession with this palette not too long ago. This is still very much in rotation and will definitely be traveling with me in July and August. I love wearing Daybreak on my crease and mixing Double Dip and Plunge to sweep across my bottom lash line. A few shades definitely scream “summer” but for now it’s a great everyday eye makeup favorite.

Glossier Lidstar, Glossier Cream Eyeshadow

Glossier Lidstar: As much as I love my UD palettes, I’ve always had a preference for creamy eyeshadow. These are sheer, easy to blend and pretty much look good with just about any makeup look—especially for summer. I love a wash of color like Slip (pale pink) on my lids and other days I opt for more definition so I’ll apply Fawn on the outer corner of my eyes and bottom lash line for that “lived in” look. Moon is probably the most patchy of the entire collection but I do like using it on the inner corner of my eyes.

In addition to my favorite eyeshadows, these are my other everyday eye makeup essentials:

Stila Smudge Kajal Eyeliner in Nude: I rarely wear eyeliner these days but I like to apply this on my waterline and I swear it makes my tiny pupils look a little bit bigger.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise and Glossier Lash Slick: Up until Lash Slick came along, I only coated my lashes in L’Oreal Lash Paradise (my holy grail drugstore gem). But I do like the “no makeup” makeup perfection I get from Lash Slick. After two coats, my lashes look super long and defined and so I’ve been cocktailing and mixing them both for a unique lash look.

Another beauty tip: I curl my lashes about 10 minutes after they dry from mascara. They hold up so much better, but you have to be careful you don’t rip out any lashes in the process. The curler pictured in this post is my beloved Chanel Eyelash Curler.

So, how many eyeshadow palettes do you have, and what are your eye makeup favorites?
