My Favorite Skin Enhancers
I’ve been very lucky to have healthy a complexion most of my life and I definitely don’t take it for granted. I’m very dedicated to my skincare routine—cleansing every day, masking twice a week, and drinking TONS of water. Because of that, I don’t rely on heavy foundations. I don’t want to hide my skin I want to enhance it!
My skin type is relatively dry so I usually opt for dewy makeup skin enhancers. As you’ll find out, the majority of my collection consists of skin tints, tinted moisturizers, beauty balms, and CC creams. I’m excited to share with you my favorite dewy makeup for dry skin.
Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint
It’s not exactly a tinted moisturizer, but something like it. I use this almost every day and what I like the most about it is how it evens out my skin tone and makes my skin look hydrated and dewy. Glossier recently expanded their shade range (going from a mere 5 to now 12). I was originally “light” but after the re-launch I am now G11. If you’re looking for more coverage this isn’t it.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
I like to wear this with my Glossier Skin Tint. I was once very devoted to Tarte Shape Tape but over time it just felt so heavy on my skin. NARS feels much lighter but still gives me enough coverage to hide the lack of sleep I don’t always get the night before. I wear the shade Vanilla, and I like to swipe under my eyes, on my chin, and any blemishes on my face that day. This has a natural finish.
Glossier Stretch Concealer
This is the alternative to my NARS concealer for those “no makeup” makeup days. I love how smooth and buttery it feels and that I don’t have to rely on a brush or sponge to apply. The only downfall is the coverage—I don’t think this offers great coverage compared to others. I wear Stretch Concealer in G12.
L’Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion
Layered underneath a tinted moisturizer, foundation, skin tint, this works extremely well for that ‘lit from within’ glow. I’ve been using this under my Glossier Skin Tint. The collection was included in a PR mailer last year so that’s why I have multiple shades and I’ve been using them for contouring.
Stila Stay All Day HD Illuminating Beauty Balm SPF 30
Remember all the hype around BB and CC creams back in the day? I think this is the only BB cream I still own and use. I usually save this for my spring and summer makeup routine because it has SPF. I love that it gives my skin a glow but also doesn’t make my complexion look oily.
IT Cosmetics Illumination CC+ Cream
I’ve tried all three versions of Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream and I think I like this one the best. I wear the shade Fair Light (fair skin with cool pink undertone) and I think this gives me great coverage but also keeps my complexion looking natural. It’s a great dark spot corrector too.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
This was definitely a luxury beauty splurge but I love how light this feels on my skin. Like most of my other favorites, it has a dewy finish but sheer coverage. I do like that it doesn’t clog my pores but I’m not sure I will restock on this tube.
IT Cosmetics Oil-Free Matte CC+ Cream SPF 40
I know the name of the product has the word matte in it, but hear me out! It’s the only matte CC cream I don’t mind wearing. As you can tell by the previous products, I prefer a dewy and natural finish because I have relatively dry skin. However, this gem by IT somehow keeps my skin looking beautifully matte without feeling dry or flaky.
I received a PR mailer which included all the shades from the matte line. I ended up giving away a couple shades to friends so it’s not the full collection, but just an FYI.

I’m dying to try Glossier, their products all sound so amazing! I have the IT Cosmetics original formula but i think I’d prefer this one xx
