My 2019 Designer Handbag Wish List

2019 designer handbag wish list

The new collections are now arriving in store and *swoon*, there are so many beautiful bags.

I spent my entire January doing a no spend challenge and I’m doing my best to save this month as well. While I’ve been very responsible, it’s left me lusting after so many beautiful handbags. Between new releases and old classics, I rounded up all the bags that are on my 2019 designer handbag wish list. I hope I can get my hands on at least one bag this year!

Chanel Vintage Classic Flap

First up on my wish list, Chanel! Ugh, when am I not lusting after Chanel? When I purchased my first pre-loved Chanel Mini Rectangular, I thought I found purse peace. I was wrong, haha. Eventually I got my hands on a beautiful mint green single flap from the 2015 cruise collection and then I thought I was at purse peace. I guess I’m wrong again. I’ve always wanted a classic flap with gold hardware, but the brand new retail price is wayyy above my pay grade. After some research, I realized I could potentially get a classic flap if it’s pre-loved, vintage (no puffy quilts), and has gold hardware (my personal preference). For Chanel, I’m totally willing to sell a bag from my current collection and live off ramen noodles for the rest of the year.

Kate Spade Shoulder Bags and Satchels

Kate Spade has a new creative director, Nicola Glass, and wow—she’s definitely bringing her A game! This medium size satchel originally got my attention (this would be the perfect bag to carry to work) and then I absolutely fell in love with this small shoulder bag (with the cutest spade twistlock). I was very tempted to make a purchase since the price point is much more affordable compared to others; however, I’m not quite ready to take the plunge. Saving my money has definitely changed my outlook on spending for sure. I also tuned in to watch the fall 2019 runway show the brand shared on its IG channel and then I wanted every single bag that came down the runway. Kate Spade bags are definitely nearing the top of my designer handbag wish list!

Louis Vuitton Monogram Neverfull

I’ve had a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM for a few years now and while I love using it for travel and work, there is one small annoyance I have with the bag… the handle straps. With the Damier Ebene print, the leather straps are much more firm and somewhat uncomfortable on my shoulder. I’m at the point now where I am totally willing to trade it or sell it for the LV monogram with the pivoine interior (and the vachetta straps are much softer). Hopefully I can find one in great condition and pre-loved on Fashionphile.

Fendi Baguette Bag

Designer handbag wish list Fendi Baguette Bag

OK… I had no idea that this bag was making a comeback until recently. Remember the Baguette Bag from Sex and The City? Well the iconic Fendi bag is back! If I had a limitless budget or won the lottery I would purchase this gorgeous pink one, but there are so many other colors and patterns.

Saint Laurent Toy Loulou Calfskin Leather Crossbody Bag

Last year I splurged on my first YSL small leather good and was really impressed with its durability. I’ve been thinking about this Toy Loulou crossbody bag in the beige colorway. I love the puffy chevron quilts and this looks like my type of day bag for running errands.

Gucci Small GG Marmont Matelasse Leather Shoulder Bag

Designer handbag wish list

It’s been a little over year since I splurged on my first Gucci handbag and it was one of the best handbag purchases I’ve ever made. I absolutely love my black leather shoulder bag and it’s only left me wanting more Gucci bags. I’ve always loved the nude/porcelain rose shoulder bag. My hope is to snag this pre-loved for a really good price because I know I would use in the spring and summer.

So there you have it, a broke girl’s designer handbag wish list. I guess it’s time I start purchasing more scratch-offs. Have any bags caught your eye? Let me know in the comments!
