Let me preface this post by stating, I am really really picky about my makeup remover. Much of makeup choices are easily dictated by whether or not its easy to remove at night. That mascara that shall remain nameless is no longer in my rotation because precious eyelashes have been lost in the battle of remover vs. makeup. For years, Pond’s Cold Cream was my go-to but laziness took over during my college years so I opted for those makeup remover wipes. The problem with most makeup remover cloths is that some can be harsh on skin and usually the gentle formulas lack in effectiveness or dry out quickly. The solution to my woes: Cle de Peau Beaute Makeup Remover Sheets. The box says it feels like silk… and it does. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to wipe away a smoky eye, two coats of Benefit They’re Real mascara and Stila Liquid Liner without rubbing and pulling aggressively. These wipes are incredibly lightweight and won’t dry out quickly. The $38 price point seems a bit ridiculous but if you have a thing for long-wearing makeup, these wipes will be worth every penny.
