State of the Face: Bluemercury M-61 Glow & Go Facial

I’ll admit it—I’ve turned in to a serial spa junkie. I kid you not, I was offered two facials on the same day and I seriously thought about swinging both. I know I couldn’t though. Otherwise that would be very, very bad for my skin. I’ve always had a great experience at Bluemercury and last week’s facial fell nothing short of amazing. My aesthetician, Jaclyn, puts the AMAZE in amazing. Her bubbly, friendly personality made my experience just that much more enjoyable. [Sidebar: Jaclyn told me she is a Brazillian waxer mastermind too!]

You’ve heard me say it before and I’ll say it again: that “lit from within” starts with your skin. Bluemercury recently launched their newest treatment, the M-61 Glow & Go facial. It includes a facial massage, deep cleansing and oxygen therapy, which in my book is, the perfect recipe for soft, smooth glowing skin. The facial treatment also boasts beloved products from Bluemercury co-founder Marla Malcolm Beck’s all-natural skin care line, M-61.

Here’s a brief description of what the treatment involved: Jaclyn started with the M-61 Perfect Cleanse (an extra gentle sulfate-free cleanser with lavender and green tea). Then she used the M-61 Power Glow Peel (an easy one-step peel pad that exfoliates skin and even combats dry, rosacea-like patches) before the 2-minute M-61 Fast Blast (it made my face tingle in the best way possible). Next, she massaged under my eyes with M-61 Hydraboost Eye (even with no makeup on, this erased any trace of dark circles) and the Hydraboost Moisturizer (a 2-in-1 moisturizer and primer!). Finally she massaged my face with Darphin’s Aromatic Cleansing Balm (great for all skin types) before the oxygen therapy. And there you have it. First you glow, and then you go.
