Yesterday was the kick off for bareMinerals Go Bare Tour of America in DC with Georgetown Cupcake. Aside from noshing on too many vanilla and chocolate mini cupcakes, I was treated to a complimentary make-under (think primer, foundation, blush, bronzer and a little lippy) while talking beauty tips n’ tricks with the bareMinerals beauty team. I am huge bareMinerals junkie (currently, I can’t live without their Flawless Definition Mascara and Loud & Clear Lip Sheers), so I made sure I cleared my schedule for this fabulous event.
Check out some of my snapshots from the tour below!
The event was held outside in the PNC parking lot (but it totally didn’t feel that way with the Jonathan Adler furniture!)
Deelish mini chocolate cupcakes, courtesy of the one and only Georgetown Cupcake. Those fondants in the cupcake are my weakness. Just sayin’
The bareMinerals pop-up shop that treated women to make-unders.
A bevy of bareMinerals foundations. Basically, my equivalent of the beauty jackpot.
Those cupcakes! Plus makeup? My dream come true.
Hi Kara,
Love your blog! I have never tried bare minerals and I have been wondering what the hype is all about. Thoughts?
Thanks 🙂
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca! Thanks so much for reading! I guess I consider myself to be a “no makeup makeup” type of girl– I love makeup but I prefer natural flawless complexions (though that doesn’t seem realistic because I have so many impurities!) and that’s why I love bareMinerals. They’re most known for their mineral foundations that are light weight and still provide great coverage (which I love) but I’ve found a bevy of other products by them that I have incorporated in to my daily routine (like their mascara and lip sheers). I think when it comes to trying different makeup brands, it’s all about figuring out if it’s a good fit for your lifestyle. You should definitely visit a bareMinerals store or counter and ask for some samples to see if you like it. I hope this answers your question!
