I’m obsessed with the Madewell Medium Transport Tote in the color English Saddle (a classic rich caramel). I scooped it up at Nordstrom for $158 a couple years ago as a carryall for work trips. I typically don’t like to make handbag purchasing decisions in such a short amount of time (whether it’s $50 or $500) because I like to make sure I will use the bag.
Buying the Madewell leather tote bag turned out to be one of my best handbag decisions. It’s the perfect size and it conveniently stored my laptop, charger and wallet all day without feeling too heavy. I also knew I wanted a bag that was more tall than wide. The Medium Transport Tote checked that box too in my list of requirements. The removable longer strap is a nice bonus too.
I love my Madewell one so much that I’m thinking about other styles and colors. I recently purchased this in the blush color way in 2019 and I could not be happier with my decision! The bag is a bit wider than I was expecting but it easily fits all my work day essentials generously. To help keep me organized, I purchased a felt tote insert off Amazon (in the slender large size) and that stores my phone, wallet, keys, makeup, headphones, and any other odds & ends.
