Travel Beauty Essentials Under $20

Travel Beauty Essentials - Politics of Pretty

Last week I went on my first business trip to Boston, MA. I had so much fun while I was there but packing up my beauty products was no easy feat. I made a last ditch effort before my flight to stop at Sephora (their mini beauty product aisle right before you check out is everything) and stock up on a few travel beauty essentials to help save me some serious suitcase real estate.

First and foremost, a travel-size cleanser was at the top of my list. I use the full-size version of Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and I can’t live without it.

Next on my list: Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner. I’m a hair product snob so I don’t trust those freebies already in the hotel bathroom. This tried and true duo smells divine and my hair always feels silky smooth afterward.

I wrote about Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It a while back on the blog and I’m still using it. If there’s one hair product you decide to splurge on before summer is over, it’s this. It’s the perfect alternative when I don’t feel like blow-drying my hair (or if there’s no blow dryer in the hotel). Lately I’ve been opting for all-natural tousled waves but I didn’t want to risk a heavier suitcase by packing my curling iron. Instead, I combined Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion with Don’t Blow It. It’s the perfect duo for achieving soft, air-dried, natural wavy tresses.
