I’m so excited to be a part of my first monthly linkup with <em> press themes! I purchased my new blog template and a bevy of plugins from them and I couldn’t be happier with my blog’s new look! <em>press is not just business, but also a community of bloggers that love connecting with each other and I’m thrilled to participate in this monthly linkup series. This month’s writing prompt was what are five items under $50 you can’t live without? Being a product junkie, I naturally think of skincare and makeup essentials. These are my five beauty products under $50 that I can’t live without.
Fresh Sugar Dream ($26): I have a love/hate relationship with tinted lip balms. I’ve always struggled with finding a tinted lip balm that gives me the perfect pink pout—and then that all changed. I got my hands on Fresh Sugar Dream and I haven’t worn lipstick for weeks. You can check my selfie above to see just how dreamy it looks on my lips.
L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara ($8): For years, I’ve relied on cocktailing different brands of mascara to get the look I wanted. It ended up becoming very costly because I’d be using two or three different tubes at a time and they would dry out so quickly. What I love about my latest routine is that I only have to rely on one tube for less than $10 and it’s literally the best mascara of all time. The risk I take with falling in love with a drugstore mascara is that they can easily disappear off the shelves (I feel like drugstore brands discontinue products all the time) so I’ve been restocking on this tube of mascara every time I go to Target.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser ($18): There’s nothing quite refreshing like the feeling of washing the day off with Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. I use a bevy of Glossier products but when I think about the sole product I use day in and day out, it’s this. I’m on my third bottle of this cleanser and I highly recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush ($38): I have never hit pan on a powder blush—being a beauty blogger I never thought it could happen… until now. I’ve been using this blush for over two years and I’m starting to hit pan. I love the luminous finish, its staying power and the rosy flush it gives my complexion. I’m not one to always recommend splurging on a prestige blush but this one is definitely the exception.
Pixi Rose Flash Balm ($24): Out of these five can’t-live-without beauty products, this is the newest one that’s rightfully earned prime real estate in my skincare shelfie. It’s described as a 3-in-1 balm that can be used as a moisturizer, primer and revitalizing mask. Personally, I love using it as a moisturizer to waken up my tired looking skin.

You would love it!
I feel you on mascara. My eyes are sensitive, so that’s the one product I follow the recommended expiration date on — and I’m not paying $10+ for a mascara I’ll have to replace in 3 months (and inevitably never finish the tube! Why do they make them so large?!). Lately Sephora’s Play box is keeping me stocked up enough in samples, but I’m always on the lookout for good drugstore mascaras.
Large tubes of mascara is a pain point for me too! Deluxe sample size mascaras are a good alternative. Even if L’Oreal discontinues my current favorite, I’m not sure I’ll ever splurge on a high-end tube every again.
I am going to have to try the Lash Paradise Mascara! Can’t beat the price and it sounds amazing.

Ooh, I LOVE my Glossier boy brow. I’ll have to check out this cleanser. So many great beauty items!
I love Hourglass products but I’ve never tried their blush! That looks like such a pretty shade of pink!
It’s the most gorgeous shade of pink. Sometimes I’ll layer Glossier Cloud Paint in Puff underneath and it looks like I’m glowing.
I have heard so many good things about that cleanser—I need to try it! p.s. Happy to see you on the link-up, I had following your blog for a long time esp before I had kids. Trying to get back into this thing!
That’s awesome! Thank you so much for keeping up with my blog! Will be bookmarking yours so I can keep up 🙂
I’m a huge Glossier fan, but haven’t tried their cleanser yet. May have to check it out. 🙂

It’s the only Glossier product I use every single day. I love it!
I actually JUST bought that mascara too and really like it too! I’m also a serial mascara cocktail concocter…I’ve been using that one as a final va-voom mascara on top of L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes! I
I’ve heard good things about the Million Lashes! Sounds like the perfect mascara cocktail.
