I’ve only ever used dry shampoo spray. Up until splurging on this Drybar Detox Whipped Dry Shampoo Foam, I’ve had an assortment of dry shampoo on my dresser. Collectively, they were all OK. Nothing fancy, but enough to be able to throw my hair in a messy ponytail.
I’m not sure why or even how this dry shampoo foam has only two stars on Sephora.com, but this is the closest I’ve come to finding a dry shampoo that refreshes my roots and gives me one more day of “clean” hair. Yes, air quotes, because my husband may beg to differ. According to him, hair is no longer clean after day one. He might be half right.
But back to why I love this product. My hairstylist says I have pretty dry hair so this powderless formula works well on drier scalps. It’s safe for color-treated hair and it smells great! It’s easy to apply—just shake, dispense into your palm and massage into your roots until the foam disappears.
Side note: my husband is super sensitive to perfumes and scents, so much so, I have to secretly spritz my perfume and hair products in another room before I run out the door for work. With this dry shampoo foam, I don’t have to worry about spritzing and dashing. The foam life is good, my friends.
Bottom line— ditch your powder and use this instead.
