Sephora Beauty Insider Event + Recommendations

It’s sale time! Sephora is having a special event to celebrate their Beauty Inside Program and they are offering discounts for all Sephora Beauty Insider Members!

Not too long ago, I shared why I like to spend my money at Ulta on the blog; however, every time Sephora offers special discounts for members, I never pass up the opportunity. These are one of the few perks of being a Sephora Beauty Insider member so you can save 10-20% on your purchase.

Below are details, dates and discount codes for each tier below:

  • Rouge Members: 20% off with code YESROUGE, valid now through 9/3
  • VIB Members: 15% off with code YESVIB, valid 8/30 through 9/3
  • Beauty Insiders: 10% off with code YESINSIDER, valid 8/30 through 9/3

Note: For this event you can redeem your offer with promo code once online, but you can use it in stores an unlimited amount of times.

As a beauty product junkie, I know how easy it can is to get swept up in the hype of a good sale (especially one of the Sephora Beauty Insider events) and want to scoop up anything and every thing… but not this year. I recommend using the Sephora Beauty Insider Sale to restock on old favorites and splurge on a few new products you’ve been interested in trying for the sake of not having to pay full price.

If you get easily overwhelmed by all the categories on Sephora’s website like I do, then check out my 5 picks for each of the major categories for makeup, skincare, hair/fragrance/tools below. Some of tried and true favorites and others are on my wish list based on my own research.

Sephora Beauty Insider Sale makeup and skincare picks

Makeup

Bobbi Brown Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation:  I tried this earlier this summer and it paired really well with this primer if you’re looking for a matte finish.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer:  I’ve tried enough concealer to only realize this tube did the job without feeling too heavy or smothering on my skin. I love the natural finish.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+: The only CC cream worth buying and actually works. They also just launched an oil-free matte version that might be worth checking out (though I haven’t tried it yet to compare).

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush: I hit pan on mine a month ago and I’m thinking about repurchasing. I have the shade Ethereal Glow, a cool pink blush with just the right amount of luminosity (perfect for fair skin tones).

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette: If you’re looking to splurge on a new eyeshadow palette, you may want to consider this everyday to night palette which includes 14 shades in ultra-matte, duo chrome and metallic finishes.

Skincare

Caudalie Vine[activ] Overnight Detox Oil: I really love Caudalie skincare products and I’ve been using this for a few months now. This oil gives my skin more even texture and tone and I love the herbal scent. $50 might be steep but it’s so worth it and it will last a long time!

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet: I restock on this moisturizer every chance I get. It’s a hybrid gel-cream and it smells amazing. Plus, this moisturizer will take you right into fall.

Saturday Skin Daily Dew Hydrating Essence Mist: I’ve been eager to try this brand and I’ve heard good things about this mist.

Origins Cleansing Makeup Removing Jelly with Willowherb: I quit using my once beloved Glossier Milky Jelly because my skin loves this cleanser so much more. My skin doesn’t feel as dry after cleansing and it removes face makeup in just one application. I use makeup removing wipes for my eye makeup, just FYI.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye: My favorite eye cream that actually gets rid of puffiness in the morning and also smoothes the way for concealer/makeup.

Hair/Fragrance/Tools

Drybar Texas Teasing Brush: I missed out on this during the last Beauty Insider sale so this is at the top of my to-buy list.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Volume Texture Spray: I’ve been using this for a few years now and I’m near empty. I like using it before I curl my hair to add fullness and texture or when I want to refresh between shampoos.

By Rosie Jane James Candle: As we head into the fall season, there’s nothing like a warm floral candle to evoke your favorite fall memories.

BeautyBlender: A seasonal restock favorite. I prefer using a sponge to blend my foundation and concealer. The Sapphire BeautyBlender looks “Instagram pretty” but I also love the trusty nude BeautyBlender too.

OUAI Treatment Mask: While I rarely try hair masks, I do think now is the perfect time to give my tresses some TLC after summer. These masks help repair damaged hair, mends split ends and leaves strands silky smooth.

If you’re a Sephora Beauty Insider Member (either VIB or BI) you have a few days to put together your wish list and start adding items to your cart. I hope you find some great products and let me know what you end up buying!
