Nikki Rappaport is one of my favorite DC bloggers (her penchant for baking delicious looking goodies makes me an avid reader). Nikki of Cupcakes for Breakfast, confessed her beauty routine is pretty simple and frequents drugstores to stock up on staple products. (I certainly admire that, because my routine is overwhelming and changing on a daily basis!) Regardless, she may call it “low maintenance,” but I consider it chic. Read on to see what’s currently on her vanity…

Currently in her makeup bag: “Clinique’s Stay-Matte Tinted Moisturizer, Maybelline Define-A-Lash, NARS blush in orgasm, and Burt’s Bees.

Nikki’s skincare essentials: “An exfoliating cleanser, usually Clean & Clear’s Blackhead Eraser Scrub, Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer with SPF 15 (on my face and neck) and Nivea Smooth Sensation to keep my skin soft.”

Favorite hair products: “Pantene shampoo and conditioner, a little Moroccanoil and Garnier Root Booster Spray. I let air dry or dry in a coiled high bun. See, told you I was low maintenance.”

Currently spritzing: Ralph Lauren Ralph

Nikki’s PM routine: “I wash my face with Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser and then use Neutrogena Clear Pore Astringent on a cotton ball to get off any extra dirt especially around my nose. I apply a big dollop of Night of Olay on my face and neck and backs of my hands. I have a glass of water too before bed.”

Her obsession: “Covergirl lipstick in ‘Spellbound’ is really fun.”

Beauty stops in the District: “I absolutely love my hairdresser Christine McGavern at PR and Partners on K Street. She’s brilliant and my hair has never been better. I have bone straight hair, and she’s managed to give it a bit of a curl and bounce– gotta love her! I treat myself with pedicures at R&R Salon in Dupont. (Can’t wait for spring so this isn’t such a chore and I can show off my pink toes!).”

Beauty Mantra: “Coffee over curling.”
