Messy Pony Tutorial

You know what I love about messy ponytails? They don’t (or shouldn’t) require much time or effort. But of course, the day I break down my step-by-step tutorial, it takes me longer to figure out the perfect formula for a messy ponytail. The best tip I can offer is this: stop thinking and just do it. Embrace the bumps, the loose strands and natural texture. Anyways, I’m excited to share with you my messy pony look that only requires a brush, a couple hair ties and hair spray.

Step 1: Blow dry hair using the Ultimate Air Dryer brush. The unique design dries hair 40 percent faster for a quicker prep time and less overall heat damage.

Step 2: Using the Ultimate Air Dryer, lightly backcomb and tease the top section of hair at the crown of the head.

Step 3: Spritz hair with hair spray (I’m using a dry shampoo) to help boost volume for a messy, relaxed look.

Step 4: Separate hair into two front sections and one back section. Tie the back section with elastic.

Step 5: Take the front the two front sections and cross over the ponytail to add to your messy look.

Step 6: Secure with a pretty hair tie.
