How to get bold brows - Politics of Pretty

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about brows but can you blame me? I have bangs for a reason. Unfortunately, when my bangs are a little too long I sweep them to the side—only to realize I haven’t tweezed, filled them in or groomed them. Holy caterpillars! Which is exactly what inspired this post today. Primping your brows may not always be a part of your busy daily routine, but now it can be. Polished bold brows was a popular trend on the spring runways (Burberry Prorsum, BCBG and Tory Burch to name a few) and it’s so easy to create and maintain.

L’Oreal Brow Stylist Designer has been sitting in my  box of beauty products to test. It wasn’t until I realized that I needed to give my brows some serious TLC when I decided to try this for myself. The application is easy and it gives brows a natural (and not painted on) look. I’ve been stashing this in my purse on easy on the go application and definition.

If you’re a brow shaping beginner, here’s a quick and simple tutorial on how to get a bold brow for spring:

First, using the crayon, fill in uneven areas using light feathered strokes. (Just know your brows shouldn’t be the same darkness throughout. Typically, the arch and the tail of the brow should be the most defined and the darkest.)

Then using the spoolie brush, comb and blend to define your arch for a polished finish.

It’s just that simple!
