textured nails - politics of pretty

Since I got engaged, I’ve realized I can’t show off my beautiful diamond ring without a fresh polished manicure. Thus, doing my nails each week is now at the top of my beauty to-do list. But who’s complaining? Well, as of right now, just my boyfriend. (He hates the smell of nail polish.)

This week’s theme: textured nails. I went with Easter Egg inspired nails, brought to you by NCLA in “Mostly Sunny With a Chance of Sprinkles.” It’s the most perfect shade of spring blue with navy glitter (yes, navy!). The combination is refreshing and one-of-a-kind. Aside from a massive amount of Butter London and Deborah Lippmann nail lacquers stashed in my beauty closet, I re-discovered this little gem while cleaning out my bag of “untested beauty products,” while moving. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the five-free application. The quick-dry formula makes it easy to use before last minute occasions (like yesterday, when I did my nails 10 minutes before we left for my mom’s house), and the color matches the the bottle (so you know exactly what you’re paying for).
