Fashion Week Backstage Beauty Report

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and the beauty looks this season are some of the boldest I’ve seen recently. Here are a few of my favorites.

Fashion Week Backstage Beauty at Tibi - Politics of Pretty

Tibi is one of my favorite designers and I love their understated, simple vibes. The one painted nail in various colors – red, orange, blue and pale yellow – is an ode to effortlessly cool. Goodbye nail art, hello it girl chic.

Fashion Week Backstage Beauty at Calvin Klein - Politics of Pretty

You can always count on Calvin Klein for an unfussy but completely sophisticated look. I’m really loving the casual waves and I’m sensing a general effortlessly chic vibe throughout this NYFW. Redken Global Creative Director Guido styled the hair with a salt spray and wax to get the piecey textured look.

Fashion Week Backstage Beauty at Jonathan Simkhai - Politics of Pretty

Jonathan Simkhai chose to pair his designs with a frosty, dewy look. Some models wore a rich red lip down the catwalk while others (pictured) let the skin speak for itself.
