In Hair Products We Trust: Shimmering Leave-In Conditioner

Gold Mine Leave In Conditioner - Politics of Pretty

I’ve been growing out my hair for a few months now and while I’ve had a small itch to try something different (read: drastic), I keep reminding myself there are other ways to update my ‘do without the help of a pair of scissors. If you’re like me and want to avoid a trip to the salon, here’s a fun little thrill for just a mere $29: Drybar’s Gold Mine Shimmering Leave-In Conditioner. This multipurpose styling bottle conditions, detangles and evens out texture for a more polished finish. Perhaps, my favorite selling point though, is its shimmering effect, which leaves a subtle yet noticeable trace of shine in your tresses. The process is quite simple; apply a small dollop to damp hair from mid-shaft to ends. Or, apply to dry hair for a shimmering finish (although, I wouldn’t recommend this option… it felt a little sticky to me). When I first tried this product, it looked like my palms had exploded with gold glitter. In fact, it even made me question if I had applied it correctly but post-blow dry, my hair looked slightly different. My hair didn’t look dull or lackluster. It gave my color-treated tresses a soft glow without weighing my hair down. And now it’s taken up a permanent residence in my hair product cabinet. Have you tried this?
