Life Lately + Drugstore Makeup Haul

Drugstore makeup haul, rimmel london, l'oreal lumi primer, lash paradise mascara

I feel like I’ve been traveling non-stop. Two weeks ago, I hopped on a plane to Charlotte, NC for a quick trip for my full-time gig. I came back, had a few days of downtime, and then headed to Pittsburgh for my second wedding of the season. This week, I’m taking a train to Jersey City for another work trip. Basically, I’ve been living out of a suitcase.

My first full weekend home after traveling prompted me to head to the drugstore and try out some new products. Here’s what I got in my latest drugstore makeup haul:

L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer: I can’t remember the last time I purchased a primer at the drugstore but this one caught my attention in this YouTube tutorial. I love anything that gives me that “lit from within” glow. This feels nice on the face and absorbs quickly into skin. Paired with the Rimmel foundation and my skin looks super dewy.

Essie All-in-One 3-Way Glaze: These days, I rarely wear nail polish unless it’s nude or pink. For all the other days, I prefer a clear shiny top coat. I purchased this on a whim at the drugstore so I just hope this leaves my nails looking shiny and feeling strong.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation: For a drugstore foundation, I’m really impressed with this formula. I found it to actually be “breathable” and perfect for my usual no makeup makeup routine. I purchased the shade 100-Ivory and it felt like my own skin, but better. Will definitely be wearing this foundation going forward.

L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara: As much as I love this mascara (this is my 3rdtube), it clumps up quite a bit after frequent use, and I constantly find myself wiping excess mascara before I apply. I’m trying to stick to that rule of replacing my mascara every 3 months so that’s why I scooped up another tube.

Rimmel Natural Bronzer: I’m always on the hunt for bronzing powders for my pale skin. I have a shimmery bronzer from a Rimmel Sculpting Palette that I love and figured this would also work for my skin tone. I got the shade, 021-Sun Light, which I think is the lightest shade in the range. When I applied this to contour my face, it didn’t look orange on my fair skin and gave my skin that much needed warmth to my complexion.
