Leaving for work without wearing much makeup doesn’t phase me these days, but the thought of not coating my lips with a light tint drives me absolutely crazy! With chilly nights and mornings, my lips chap more frequently and nothing is worse than the feeling of cracked lips. My expectation for fall/winter lip products is simple but a high standard: it needs to be rich in pigment and moisture. Recently, I was introduced to Dolce & Gabbana lipstick, particularly their Passion Duo Gloss Fusion Lipstick. I love this velvety smooth lipstick infused with a satin gloss center—it’s equal parts creamy and moisturizing without it being too heavy. I’m wearing Orchid #38 in this post but depending on my mood, I’ve been able to incorporate nude and red hues in to my lip wardrobe as well. You all know I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and the presentation is so luxe in itself. The thought of spending $36 on a lipstick seems absurd but I feel like a million bucks when I wear this lipstick. And that feeling my friends, is priceless.

I really like the color on the right – maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but I’ve never seen lipsticks with a different core color before! Does it have any impact on the pigment that ends up on your lips?

Those colors are so gorgeous. I really love the idea of a moisturizing element already embedded into the tube – especially when it’s holiday party season and I am carrying a cute (tiny) clutch!
