With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I’ve already begun planing my date night makeup, per usual. As for my outfit, that can wait until the day of. You know, priorities of a beauty blogger. Anyways, I thought I’d do a makeup test run and share it with you. On my eyes, I created a look using my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. To be honest, when I first got this palette over the holidays, I wasn’t a big fan but after finding a few stellar YouTube tutorials for inspiration, I was able to successfully pull off a date night makeup look I really like. I started with sweeping the shade, Limit, on the crease, followed by Darkside on my lids. I layered Dust on the center of my lid to brighten the eye a little bit. Then I took Nooner and blended that in to my crease. I patted Strange under my brow and in the inner corner of my eyes for my highlight shade. Finally, I took a small precision brush and used Blackheart along my upper lash line for some definition.
You all know I love my never-ending mascara wardrobe but lately I’ve been reaching for Estee Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Daring Length and Volume Mascara. I like the glossy finish it gives my lashes. When it comes to foundation, I use my trusty NARS Cream Compact Foundation (not pictured) and I also like my Flower Pressed Powder for touch-ups. A pretty glow is always a must and this Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush does just that (and I love the heart-shape packaging). Right now I’m really loving a pale pink lip and this Stila Lip Glaze in Strawberry Cream smells absolutely delicious. On my nails, I’m wearing a pale gray (or maybe lilac?) shade by Butter London in Muggins. Right now I am really loving their nail polish. Oh, and how cute is my kitty ring? I purchase it from Erin Fetherston’s collection for Jewelmint.
What products do you like to use for date night makeup?

Woman, I can’t LIVE without my Naked Palette.I don’t have 2 or 3, but I adore it. However, I can’t do my own makeup to save my life!
Thanks for the tips!
haha love it! Getting this look took some practice, not gonna lie 🙂
I NEED that ring!!!
I wasn’t too sure about this palette myself, but seeing this eye look I’m loving it! I should probably just give in and buy it at this point! Love your cat ring too 🙂
Thank you! Yeah, the $52 price point is a bit steep. My sister got it for me for Christmas but after watching a lot of tutorials, I feel like I can create a lot of different looks with it.
Love that blush palette! I own the mini naked palette and use it pretty much daily for a basic look.
There are two date night looks that I like to switch up. The first being a smokey eye and nude or pale pink lip and the other being minimal eye makeup and a bold lip.
For the smokey eye I use NARS’ “And God Created the Woman” eye palette and dior’s creamy pink lip shine. For the minimal eye makeup, Naked “Walk Of Same” eye color and NARS lip pencil in “Never Say Never” or YSL Lip Stain in “9 Rogue Laque”.
Great post!
