Strathberry Bag Review

Someone send me to ban island. It seems like I’m always on the hunt for a new bag and this Strathberry bag is a new brand I’m crushing on. Scroll down for all the info!

You may already recognize the brand—I first noticed it when Meghan Markle was spotted carrying this bag. Meet Strathberry, a luxury handbag line that’s handcrafted in Spain (one bag takes up to 20 hours to create). Strathberry is known for their structured handbag shapes and clean lines. I’m honestly not surprised that Meghan loves this line since this is very in line with her personal style aesthetic.

Lately I’ve been trading in old handbags for new luxuries like Chanel and Louis Vuitton. Personally, those are the only brands worth investing in since they have the highest resale value but every now and then, a brand like Strathberry comes along and I start swooning.

Compared to the likes of Chanel and Louis Vuitton, I think the price point on the Strathberry bags is pretty reasonable (which I know to some, sounds ridiculous). I’ve been eyeing the East/West Mini, a small bag with two compartments (with an accordion style look), with a dual length chain shoulder strap.

About a week ago, I finally received a notification that several color ways of the East/West Mini were back in stock and I took it as a sign that I needed to take the plunge and purchase my first Strathberry bag!

I purchased the East/West Mini in Vanilla, a beautiful chic off-white color. It arrived on my doorstep the following week and I was genuinely pleased with the packaging the bag arrived in (a sleek black box with gold lettering, a thank you and care card, and of course a dust bag). The bag is incredibly lightweight, especially for a chain strap. And I love how versatile it is; the strap itself is comfortable on the shoulder so I can wear it cross body or doubled up. The accordion style shape does make for smaller compartments but I’ve trained myself to be a minimalist so that’s not really an issue for me. This bag made its debut at a wedding this weekend and it comfortably fit my phone, a card case, a lipstick and lip gloss, and my keys.

I’m absolutely in love with this little Strathberry bag and it definitely has me wanting to purchase more styles and colors.
