8 Favorite Fall Lipsticks, Ranked

Favorite Fall Lipsticks, Ranked - Politics of Pretty

I recently started organizing my lip colors by season, and for good reason. Whether it’s odd or obvious, having a capsule collection of lip products by season makes it so much easier to pair with an outfit. I’ve ranked my favorite fall lipsticks, 8 tried and true shades that combine beautiful color and long-lasting hydration.

#8 Urban Decay Vice Lipstick, Venom: Bright plum with a satin finish. This one keeps my lips super hydrated, but I also wear this color probably the least often, thus a low ranking.

#7 No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick, Berry Blush: A moisturizing mauve lip color with SPF 15. Unlike my other berry lipsticks, this is pretty tame in terms of color so I can swipe this on my lips during my 9 to 5.

#6 Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Color, Boudoir: A bright berry moisturizing lipstick with a satin-matte finish. It’s pretty, but expensive. I save this for special occasions.

#5 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick, Black Cherry: High impact color, crème finish. Refinery29 claims this $5 lipstick looks good on everyone, so I had to put it to the test. The verdict? They were right. I recommend using a lip brush for application if you don’t want to go full on goth.

#4 L’Oreal Colour Riche, Matte-Sterpiece: Matte finish. I’m obsessed with lip and eye colors with a peach undertone. This is my go-to for daytime wear.

#3 No7 Stay perfect Lipstick, Dark Berry: A dark raspberry shade with a semi-matte finish.

#2 mark. By Avon Lipclick, Siren: A fierce red lipstick with a velvet matte finish. It looks like they’ve updated the packaging but this is my go-to red lipstick during the holiday season.

#1 Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick, Crushed Berry: Comfortable on the lips; glides on smooth. This is my favorite lipstick right now.
