3 Easy Makeup Looks Featuring Nudestix Smokey Nude Glow Kit

Nudestix Smokey Nude Glow Kit Review

I’m all about quick and easy makeup looks that look natural and enhance my features. Today I’m sharing three minimalist makeup looks using products from the Nudestix Smokey Nude Glow Kit (with the exception of complexion products, mascara and liquid eyeliner).

Quick backstory: I mentioned in a previous blog post that I won a Nudestix makeup set when I attended their digital beauty event hosted with Sephora back in February. I very rarely receive complimentary beauty products these days for my blog so you’re getting my honest opinion, despite the fact that it was free.

I received the Nudestix Smokey Nude Glow Kit, a six-piece set handpicked by Nudestix co-founder Taylor Frankel. The set is marketed as tried and true favorites that allow you to create multiple looks that fit into anyone’s schedule.

The set contains:
Magnetic Nude Glimmer in 24K Goddess (luminous finish)
Magnetic Plush Paint in St. Tropez (velvety)
Magnetic Luminous Eye Color in Rustique and Immortal (luminous)
Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm in TayTay (gel)
Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Color in Fringe (matte)

Look 1: Nude & Natural

A nude and natural makeup look featuring Nudestix

This one is the easiest, most natural looking and only requires three products. I’m wearing the Magnetic Plush Paint in St. Tropez on my eyes, cheeks and lips for a monochromatic makeup look. I also applied the Magnetic Nude Glimmer on the high points of my face. This highlighter feels like a second skin. To help define my eyes, I also smudged the Magnetic Luminous Eye Color in Rustique along my upper lash line. I finished it off with two coats of mascara and voila!

Look 2: Glow Getter

A glowy makeup look featuring Nudestix Magnetic Nude Glimmer

I love a glowy makeup look so I tried to recreate Taylor’s look by applying the Plush paint on the cheeks for a natural looking flush. Then I blended Magnetic Nude Glimmer on the inner corners to help brighten my eyes, on the high points of my cheek, bridge of nose and cupid’s bow. I also applied Rustique on my lids for a wash of color and then gently patted in the Glimmer on top for a little something extra. What I love about the Magnetic Nude Glimmer is how subtle it looks on my fair complexion. To complete the look, I applied the Gel Color in Tay Tay on my lips – it’s a beautiful nudeish pink and doesn’t dry out my lips.

Look 3: Smokey Look

An easy makeup look featuring Nudestix

Out of the three looks I featured in this post, I think the “Smokey” looks the most flattering on me. But is it truly a smokey eye makeup look? In my opinion, not really. I applied the Magnetic Luminous Eye Color in Immortal all over my lid and blended up to my crease. I used a small dab of the Magnetic Lip Plush Paint on my cheeks and the Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm in Tay Tay on my lips. I will say the look didn’t feel truly complete without eyeliner so I did apply liquid liner to my upper lash line for some added definition.

Final Thoughts:

I actually found this set to be of really great value for what you pay. I love that this set has not one, not two, not three but four multi-tasking products for eyes, lips and cheeks, plus two eyeshadow sticks. The Magnetic Plush Paint and Magnetic Nude Glimmer are my favorite products of the bunch. I find that the Luminous Eye Colors work best without eye primer so they last longer (with the help of some makeup setting spray too).

If you love minimalist makeup or “one and done” products, then you’ll love this set. All three easy makeup looks I created still look really natural and light across the board, it’s just a matter of what features you want to enhance (smokey eyes, a glowy complexion or a monochromatic look).

You can shop this set here on Sephora.com for $65 ($160 retail value).  It’s a limited-edition kit so don’t wait too long if you want to scoop it up for yourself!
